July 2002: Worked as Development Facilitator for the Final evaluation of Sindhupalchok Sexual Health Training Program Funded by Program for Appropriate Technology in Health (PATH) Seattle, USA and implemented by Mountain Spirit Nepal.

June 2002: Worked as Researcher for a Research Program on Langtang Eco-Tourism Project for a post graduate Ms. Suzanne Behrenfeld from USA, for her degree on Eco-Tourism.

April 2002: Worked with Dr. Rik Thwaits, Lecturer of Charles Sturt University of Australia and then a visiting scientist of ICIMOD in Nepal, for developing a methodology for a research program on the community indicators on successful Eco-Tourism and community based Tourism.

March 2002: Worked with Ms. Darla Hillard, Coordinator of Snow Leopard Conservancy and Ms. Wendy Brewer Lama, Eco-Tourism specialist, as translator and facilitator for their informational visit with the community in Langtang area of Rashuwa District.
December 2001: Worked with Pro. Dr. Robert R. Desjarlais, Professor of Anthropology, Department of Medical Anthropology of Serah Lawrence College, New York, USA as an Assistant Researcher, Translator and Interviewer for his Third Book on Arts of Dying among the Yolmo community, an ethnic minorities dwelling in the Helambu region, northeast of Kathmandu.

March 2001: Worked as Researcher cum Facilitator for the Institutional analysis in Chaurikharka VDC of Solukhumbu district, Nepal for International Center for Protected Landscape (ICPL), UK.

September 2001: Worked with Pro. Dr. Robert Desjarlais, Professor of Anthropology, Department of Medical anthropology, Sarrah Lawrence College, USA for his second Book entitled Aesthetics of Yolmo life. A Biblical biography of Yolmo elders, as an assistant researcher, translator and interviewer.

July 2000: Worked as Asst. Facilitator cum Trainer for Gender Sensitization and Development training in Nawalparasi and Dhanusa districts of Nepal organized by MEDEP, a UNDP and HMG/N Ministry of Industry funded program.

March 2000: Worked as a field translator and facilitator for the community, for Community based Tourism for Conservation and Development, an international training, organized by The Mountain Institute (TMI), Regional Community Forestry Training Center (RECOFT) of Thailand, Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation, Nepal, Institute of Forestry, HMG Nepal.

Dev Prasad Gurung had nominated as a member of Governing Council for National Foundation for Development of Indigenous Nationalities. NFDIN is the high commission for the Indigenous Nationalities of Nepal under Nepal Government the chairman of which is the Prime Minister of Nepal. The sole aim and objectives of NFDIN is to uplift and development of indigenous nationalities of Nepal. Governing Council is the supreme body NFDIN and overall responsibilities of Governing council is to formulate various policies required to operation the NFDIN, formulate annual plans and policies and approve them and also make various decisions.
